Description
Paleo Profile: Edmontonia rugosidens. This bulky tank sported massive shoulder spikes up to 4 feet long that were believed to aid it in shoving battles with rival male of its species. Armor plates called osteoderms covered this animal's back, making it a close cousin to the ankylosaurs. Crouching down and exposing its shoulders spikes would surely make a carnivore think twice about attacking this shielded plant eater. This is a viewer request for an Edmontonia fan! Enjoy!
